"Remark! was co-founded by Mark Nelson and Ramon Woolfe in 1999, as a partnership company, and started life in a bedroom.
Mark and Ramon honed their media expertise through sheer hard work, passion and a belief in giving a ‘remarkable’ touch to all client transactions and project work, in a way that makes both clients and deaf people feel significant and included.
In 2010, Mark led the drive for Remark! to become an incorporated limited company, moving company operations to Leather Lane, Farringdon in early 2011. This move, combined with Mark’s entrepreneurial approach, was the springboard for spectacular growth over the next few years, weathering the recession better than most.
Media, BSL Training and Access services have long been a cornerstone of Remark’s offer. Since the move to Farringdon, Interpreting, Supported Living and Events have flourished as new services offered by the company.
Now in its 17th year as a trading entity, Remark! continues to win awards including the Best Deaf UK Business in 2014 from the Deaf Business Academy and shortlisted as a finalist for the second year running at the prestigious National Broadcast Awards for Magic Hands (2014) and My Life: Signing Off (2015)."
