Problem based learning
There are many websites about problem-based learning (PBL). Some describe 6 steps, some 8 or 9 steps. And some call it 'project based learning'.

Traditional teaching: the teacher pours info into the student. PBL teaching: the student and the teacher work together to solve a problem.
